This is a question I get frequently and to be honest there is just not a right or a wrong answer to this question.
Most people will tell me that they prefer to train in the mornings and others will tel me that they prefer it in the afternoon. What they mean by this is that they just feel more willing or focused this time of day and if they had to do it another time it just would not be the same. Some of us are morning people and some of us are not. By doing some research I found that if you could have chosen what time of day to train there would definitely be benefits to training in the morning and also benefits in training in the afternoons/evenings. But what this article is about is what is the best time of day for you to train.
If you go and look at your daily life/time schedule you would immediately see that it is not so easy just to decide when to train. Because our lives are such a hectic rush to get everything done in a day you are most likely putting the important things first and the others second and training is usually one of them. Let's say you could have chosen.. you might still choose the time you feel the best to train be that the morning or evening.
There is no need to base your workout's results on the time of day and there is no need feel pressure because of this. In my opinion the results you get will be determined by the effort you put in and the consistency you maintain. Use the time you have and make plan it in such a way that you use it to the full. Plan your routine and plan the way you need to approach it to get the maximum results. Because you are in a place and time where you are feeling mentally the best you will feel good and positive towards the challenge that lies ahead. You don't always have the choices to train how and when you want but there are a lot of things that you do have control over and those are the things that will make the workout the best it can be.
Don't focus too much on the time and focus on the things you can control in your workout and you will have what you need to make it count.
